Collecct AB is digitizing the waste management industry through an independent platform where you, as a customer, can save money, reduce your carbon footprint, and simplify your administrative tasks. You can purchase and manage various recycling and reuse services all in one place—regardless of the provider. We serve producer responsibility organizations, property owners, construction contractors, and commercial and industrial customers—essentially any company that generates waste or other types of byproducts.

With over 40 years of experience in the industry

The founders have a combined total of over 40 years of experience in the waste management industry, and by combining this with extensive knowledge of how to build systems and manage information in a structured way, we have created a platform that embodies the future—a future where waste is viewed as a resource and replaces virgin materials in the production of new products.

At the same time, we have a good understanding of how markets work, how other industries have addressed “their” inefficiencies, and to what extent the construction and waste management markets are ready for digital transformation. We simply must think about the future while also meeting our customers and partners where they are today.

We believe that our independent platform strikes that balance exceptionally well.

History and Early Insights

We get it—it's not easy

We love waste, even though it seems contradictory. It’s exciting to work with something that society first takes, then produces, then consumes, and finally just wants to get rid of.

We still live in a world where waste is viewed as a problem to be disposed of, and where the waste economy and the industry’s business models are still built around this linear way of thinking.

We identified this early on:

  • The climate crisis (of course)

  • The Lack of Digitization and Standardization

  • The lack of traceability and transparency

  • The presence of criminal elements

  • The feeling that the customer is suffering from information asymmetry

  • The realization that the major waste management companies cannot solve the challenges facing the industry and society regarding the circular economy on their own

  • The realization that the “platform economy” is tailor-made for the waste management market, but that the major waste management companies cannot build a platform on their own.

We firmly believe that society can do so much better than this, and we believe there is room for innovation to address the current challenges facing the industry and society. That is why Collecct was founded. That is why we have a reason to exist.
