How does it work?
You can easily purchase bags for plaster waste through the Collecct app or at your nearest home improvement store. Once the bags are full, place them on a pallet, ready for pickup. You can schedule pickup directly in the app, and when you do, we’ll send you a shipping label to give to the carrier at the time of pickup. Pickup usually takes place the next business day between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. As the customer, you are responsible for loading the pallet onto the truck at the time of pickup.
How much does it cost?
The price is based on geographic location and the number of bags. The more bags you order for pickup, the lower the unit price will be. Feel free to use the price calculator above to get an estimate. The price includes both transportation and disposal of the material, with full traceability all the way to the receiving facility and the gypsum manufacturer.
Why should you use a return system?
As the name suggests, a return system is a circular solution in which a specific type of waste material is treated as a resource—not as waste. In our system, gypsum waste is returned and becomes a valuable raw material in the production of new gypsum boards. In this way, we close the loop and give the material a new life.
What happens to the plaster waste?
Gypsum waste is transported to one of Sweden’s two gypsum plants. There, the material is ground into a fine gypsum powder that is used as a raw material in the production of new gypsum boards. Thanks to this circular process, manufacturers such as Norgips can now produce gypsum boards in which 100% of the gypsum raw material consists of recycled waste.
Why is there no waste?
A material does not have to be classified as waste if the so-called by-product criteria are met. First, the residual material must arise as an integral part of a production process. Second, there must be a guaranteed use for the material. Third, it must be usable without any treatment other than what is standard in the industry. Finally, the material must meet all relevant technical requirements for its intended use and must not pose any risks to the environment or human health. We believe that all of these conditions are met when using this return system.
Why does it have to be handled with a bag?
It is not required to pack the gypsum waste in bags, but our return system is specifically designed for bags on pallets. This enables an efficient and traceable logistics solution that can be used throughout Sweden. Furthermore, this format enables us to offer the return system throughout Sweden. Can I dispose of plaster waste from manufacturers other than Norgips?

Is it okay to throw away drywall from a demolition?
It is possible to dispose of demolition drywall, but it is classified as a different waste category and therefore has a different price. Contact us at Collecct for more information.
